T Tto page 68 DEVELOPMENT UPC is nearing completion of what company managing director Jonny Reid believes will be the largest clearspan warehouse in the area, marking another milestone in the growth of Northgate Business Park. The 14,000sqm distribution facility, being built for a major New Zealand corporate client, is tracking three to four months ahead of its scheduled completion. “When we look to build for a client, often they are on a tight timeline as they have outgrown their premises. So our relationship with contractors is key to be able to deliver to these timelines,” says Jonny. “We worked with Fosters closely in the design stages and have a great relationship with them. That has allowed us to create the most efficient build from a time and budget perspective.” The state-of-the-art facility features a specialised floor loading rating of 50kPA and incorporates a breezeway design.
