Aintree’s third and most recent project in the Tidal Rd development was a large distribution centre for MICO plumbing. “For that project, we purchased two adjoining sites and amalgamated the titles to make it more efficient,” says Ryder. “The warehouse (5841sqm) design has delivered 65% site cover. By combining the two titles, the site gained access off two private roads and this also enabled construction of a drive-through, all-weather breezeway canopy. We worked with MICO to customise the design to suit their needs – for example, the warehouse stud height is an impressive 12.5 metres.” Aintree is currently exploring future warehouse development potential near Tidal Rd with land and concept schemes available on demand across many sites in Wiri, Mangere and East Tamaki business areas, ranging from 1000sqm to over 10,000sqm. They have options to suit investors, owner-occupiers, or businesses looking to lease. “We are also involved with some big commercial and industrial projects in the rapidly developing area of Drury South in Auckland. We have two new warehouse and office developments nearing completion, (6000sqm and 14,000sqm respectively). The smaller one is due to be completed in November 2024 and the other by early 2025.
