The redevelopment, now complete, has added twelve new guest cabins alongside six modern two- and three-bedroom units, each featuring stylish interiors, full kitchens, cosy bedrooms, and outdoor seating areas. Open-plan layouts and shared communal spaces encourage connection, allowing guests to relax together or enjoy the serenity of the surroundings. At the heart of the upgrade is Miranda’s signature heated mineral pool, which has been resurfaced and enhanced with a range of new features. Secluded private hot tubs, set within lush planting, offer peaceful retreats for couples or solo travellers, while a public hot tub and family sunlounger zones provide spaces for shared enjoyment. The pool precinct now features a new entrance from the pedestrian path, crazy paving to define movement zones, a children’s pool edged with artificial turf, and a surrounding rainforest planting scheme that creates a relaxed destination experience. Tasman Holiday Parks New Zealand General Manager, David Aflallo, says the redevelopment was designed to offer both relaxation and activity. “We wanted Miranda to be a place where visitors can slow down, recharge, and also enjoy some light-hearted fun. The new pickleball court, expanded games lawn, and upgraded communal spaces encourage socialising and memorable experiences for all our guests,” he says. David says the timing of the project was strategic. “As part of our master planning for parks we acquire, Miranda was identified as having strong potential, but it needed upgrades to deliver on that. We wanted to create new facilities that guests can enjoy now and into the future, reflecting the Tasman Promise:
