90 | Glenbuild BUILDING Glenbuild - versatile, reliable Glenbuild completes new home builds and renovation projects - from the traditional to the contemporary. A ward winning company Glenbuild has been busier than ever this year with strong forward bookings, says compa- ny owner Finn Glengarry. He puts this down to market demand coupled with the company’s focus on building strong trusted relationships with clients. “We believe in creating a partnership with each and every client so that together we can achieve our goals,” says Finn. “It’s about transparency, integrity and taking care of all their needs during the sales process from the first consultation right through to move in day and beyond,” he says. The company was started in 1994 by Finn and his father Rob. Finn took over the family business in 2011 and continues to maintain the same commitment to quality and work- manship Glenbuild customers have always received. He says that Glenbuild is still very much a family company that places a huge emphasis on trust and honesty in everything they do. Glenbuild completes new home builds and renovation projects. The company’s versatility can be seen in a snapshot of two current ren- ovation projects: a renovation and addition for a bungalow in Mt Albert and a similar project for a large masonry home in Kohimarama. The first job requires a high level of tra- ditional craftsmanship skills to replicate era items on the home. The second showcases the company’s skills at the contemporary end of the market. “Building cannot be achieved single handed so Glenbuild has established a team of the best builders and subcontractors who have worked together for the past 25 years efficiently and skilfully to achieve a quality of work that is of the highest standard. “Our team is like family – diligent, hard working and with a diverse skillset. They take great pride in what they do and all of this enables us to deliver top quality workmanship on every project.” Karen Phelps A case in point is the fact that the company has won numerous accolades at the Master Builders House of the Year competition. The last time it entered was in 2018 where it won gold for the Auckland/Northland region in the renovations over $1m category. The early 1900s home in inner Auckland was virtually rebuilt and combines the original home with an ultra-contemporary addition. With colonial trims and batten ceilings, the front of the home has retained its original character. The rear of the home is a modern design with open-plan living area and multi-faceted skylight opening to a fully glassed outdoor room with built-in bar and conversation pit, landscaped pool and deck area.  With colonial trims and batten ceilings, the front of the home has retained plenty of its original character.  Finn says the home is indicative of many of the challenges the team comes across in a renovation project: “In inner city Auckland site access can be challenging, projects involve liaising with neighbours and need to keep within budget as well of course. It’s about taking a really detailed approach and working collaboratively to deliver a stunning end result.” Proud to support Glenbuild 0800USE BME 9/251 Lincoln Rd, Henderson, Auckland 0610 When Quality Counts McKain Fibrous Plasters are proud to support Glenbuild FOR ALL YOUR FIBROUS PLASTER & PLASTERBOARD LINING REQUIREMENTS www.mckain.co.nz 09 634 8803
