Classic Builders The pandemic hasn’t held back Classic Builders in the Bay of Plenty. Classic Builders opened a branch in Papamoa in 2019 that was already picking up speed when Covid-19 hit, and in 2021 a further branch was established in Katikati to complement the long-standing Tauranga branch. Classic Builders Bay of Plenty regional manager Nathan Watkins says that demand is still strong in the region and Classic Builders is expanding to meet the need of the community for high quality new homes. As one of the largest residential builders in New Zealand, Classic Builders has 25 years’ experience to refer to. Founders Matt Lagerberg and Peter Cooney established the company because they knew that ensuring quality, value-for-money, delivery on time and on budget was rare when building a new home. Classic Builders is involved in developing its own subdivisions as well as building new homes in other subdivisions to bring more house and land packages to the hot Bay of Plenty market. Nathan says Classic Builders is also building homes for people who own their own land through its design and build service. With a new design and build showhome opening soon in the Bay of Plenty, Classic can showcase exactly what can be achieved for its clients. Due to open in February on Montiicola Drive, Palm Springs, Papamoa, the four-bedroom, two bathroom home is upmarket and high spec. It will be clad in a stunning mix of concrete finish easyPANEL and charred Japanese cedar. Nathan expects it to generate strong interest and enquiry from people looking to design and build their own home. The company will also open a showhome in Papamoa’s new subdivision, East Quarter, a joint venture project with Bluehaven Group. Classic Builders will be releasing house and land packages within the development around the same time. Nathan says the first stages at East Quarter sold out quickly and people should register interest early, getting in touch via the Classic Builders website. Yet another new design and build showhome will open in Harbour Ridge, Omokoroa in 2022. Nathan says that the Classic Builders building experience is focused on people, innovation, and quality, a process the company frames as Classic Care – something that sets the company apart in the market. Supported by an innovative programme management system that provides accurate and instant information at any given time, Classic Care is about using process and communication to consider the client and every other person involved in the build. “Classic Care tracks a client’s journey right through the building process and beyond, informing them of how things are progressing. It encourages feedback, triggers action where necessary, and captures any potential issues along the way. It’s all about having transparency in an industry where ‘surprises’ are not a good thing,” explains Nathan. In support of that Classic Builders offers a ten-year build guarantee on all homes. Nathan says 2022 will see the company release house and land packages to the market in Kaimai Views in Omokoroa and Kennedy Ridge in Pyes Pa. Once again people can register interest through the Classic Builders website. Beyond Bay of Plenty, Classic Builders currently operates in Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Rotorua, Taupo, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown. Nathan says that bringing people’s dreams to life is what the company aims to do on every project it undertakes.
