Complete fencing solutions Family owned and operated, Boundaryline Fencing Systems prides itself on being a specialty supplier of complete fencing, screening & gate solutions, designed for the speci ic requirements of the New Zealand construction industry. Founded by the McGaveston family in 2009, Boundaryline’s was irst established in Invercargill manufacturing timber post and rail fences. Branches were subsequently established in Christchurch in 2014 and Auckland in 2015 and more recently a sales o ice in Whanganui. Boundaryline has evolved as a nationwide wholesaler, importer and manufacturer of fencing systems, supplying direct to the trades and property owners. “The products that we supply go into a diverse range of properties from residential developments through to commercial and industrial sites, through to lifestyle properties,” says Co-Managing Director Hugh McGaveston. “We’re dedicated to the industry we work in with complete focus on fencing, screening and gate systems. While Post and Rail fencing remains one of our core products for lifestyle properties, our products have grown over the years to include speci ic systems for residential developments, commercial properties, education projects, swimming pools and retirement villages.” Boundaryline has had a great relationship with Summerset Group since 2017, providing product to the group’s retirement villages throughout New Zealand, either directly or through selected construction and landscape companies. Hugh recently attended one of Summerset Group’s supplier meetings where they were made aware of the Groups upcoming development plans. “After the meeting I thanked them for their collaborative and proactive approach to the supplier relationship. Their values align very much with our values in terms of business relationships.” From its product range, Boundaryline is able to o er developers of retirement villages a complete range of products including boundary fence solutions, internal courtyard screening, letterbox columns, and other site-speci ic requirements including barrier fencing. “What we o er is complete package of products and supply continuity. The developers always have a build programme to meet, so making sure the right product is used with continuous supply is critical. We also tailor our products to suit the developer’s speci ic application with a focus on products that are lowmaintenance and easy to install” Hugh says while there have been challenges within the supply chain, Boundaryline’s approach has been to signi icantly increase stocks across the country with robust forecasting and inventory management tools in place. Led by TimMcGaveston and his ive sons, Boundaryline has maintained a focus on innovation, steadily increasing its product range through global sourcing to suit the unique requirements of New Zealand’s construction. “We’re a very family led business and have a big focus on values both internally and towards our customers. The Covid 19 pandemic has created unique challenges and opportunities for our customers and team and we are constantly looking at how we can make things easier for all. From a single sta member in 2009, the business has grown to a team of over ifty in 2021.
