Rob May Builders is working on its rst project for Ryman Healthcare constructing the townhouses at Patrick Hogan Retirement Village in Cambridge. Rob May Builders owner Jono McCullough says the project is a good match for his team as Ryman Healthcare focuses on providing a high quality product. “Ryman Healthcare is operating at the top of the industry in terms of what it delivers. The project comprises two and three bedroom townhouses featuring a modern design and including full height windows and doors. All include 1.5 bathrooms and a single garage. Jono says the main challenge has been a tight timeframe – since starting on January 9 his team has already produced over 50 townhouses in the on-going project. “We are supplying materials and labour for the project along with organising subtrades related to our contract. It’s about being able to coordinate all the moving parts. Good communication between Ryman and us has helped achieve a great result. Ryman are amazing to work with. They have really good systems in place, which makes our job easier. They are a very experienced operator. Our sta is the other key factor. Because we tend to train most of our own people, starting as apprentices and bringing them through, we can control quality better. We are very approachable and go above and beyond for our clients. Clients deal with me so it's a very personal experience and makes things easy for them. This project shows while we are a small rm we punch well above our weight. We deliver to time frames, on budget and to a high quality.” The company has previously completed a number of resthome projects and Jono says Rob May Builders is in demand due to the high quality, delivered on time and on budget. Jono, a quali ed builder with a background as a contracts manager, and wife Paula started Rob May Builders in 2005. The couple has lived in Cambridge for over 30 years. The company focuses on designand-build new homes, individually tailoring each home to suit clients’ needs. It also has considerable experience with renovations, additions and general maintenance projects including the restoration of old villas. Jono, who boasts 38 years of experience as a builder, helps run jobs and is on the tools as well.
