Central GroupHelping Transform Booth’s Fleet Into aModel of Efficiency In the bustling world of materials handling, a new relationship between Central Group and Booth’s Logistics is helping rethink how the container transport and handling specialist gets the job done. As Booth’s Logistics takes the reins of LG Anderson and Anderson & Flowers active leet, the expertise of Steve Mackay and Zane Proctor from Central Group is helping lead the way towards a future characterised by intelligence and e iciency. “Back in 1996 Central Group entered a ‘handshake’ relationship with Max Flowers and John Anderson who have been great innovators in warehousing and logistics,” says Steve Mackay, a Director of Central Group Forklifts and Trucks. “This relationship has grown over twenty-seven years as each business has evolved. Booth’s Logistics share the same business ethic and drive to innovate, and we’re looking forward to working together.” Central Group's long history of collaboration with LG Anderson and Anderson & Flowers has now entered a new era with the acquisition by Booth’s Logistics. Steve and Zane have been helping to layout a smooth transition, ensuring uninterrupted business operations, and introducing cutting-edge machines to stay ahead of the industry’s ever-changing needs. Zane has been using his expertise in the materials handling equipment, to ind solutions for the business. A standout achievement was his strategic pairing of a new lithium-ion forklift with Booth’s Logistics’ crate washing division in Manawatu. “The zero emissions forklift improves air quality around sta and the washed crates, while the forklift safety lighting improves pedestrian awareness in the area,” says Zane. “It easily transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces, and has better performance characteristics than traditional internal combustion forklifts.” Central Group has also provided suitable forklift upgrades around the Bay of Plenty and Marlborough regions. These included upgrades for an aging, unreliable branch leet, an additional forklift to meet Booth’s Logistics’ expansion, along with a large, specialised 14-tonne container mover. These feats were possible thanks to the extensive range of forklifts available for rent throughout New Zealand, highlighting Central Group's adaptability and problem-solving for its customers’ operations. “Central Group welcomes the opportunity to keep providing solutions for Booth’s Logistics,” says Steve. “With our team’s wealth of experience, creative solutions, and dedication, Central Group wants to ensure that businesses not only endure, but lourish.” Through the integration of intelligent technology and e icient systems, Central Group is poised to rede ine the way New Zealand thinks about materials handling, setting new standards of excellence in the industry.
