Kari Peden, Traverse Group’s marketing and sales manager, says both present good opportunities for prospective purchasers to secure their slice of paradise in the region. Earthworks are in full swing for the Kerikeri development with titles expected early next year. This opens the door for buyers to embark on designing their dream homes now so they are in a good position to start building, says Kari. “We’ve had good interest in the subdivision, and the Kerikeri market is starting to pick up as a whole,” she says. The subdivision boasts 47 bare blocks, strategically located just minutes from Kerikeri township offering a perfect blend of convenience and tranquillity. Divided into four stages, Stage 2 offers a total of 24 sites and has been released to market. Sites vary from 340sqm to 640sqm, with a few larger sites up to 975sqm available. Kari says the Kerikeri township, known for its vibrant lifestyle, provides residents with access to top-tier wining and dining at local vineyards, cafes, and restaurants. Retail therapy is within reach, thanks to the eclectic mix of boutique and mainstream stores. Nature enthusiasts can explore waterfalls on walking tracks or spend leisurely days on the water, exploring the Bay of Islands. The subdivision is also located close to amenities including medical centres, dental surgeries, supermarkets, petrol stations and schools. People can also travel to Whangarei in just over an hour or in 3.5 hours to be in Auckland CBD. The Te Maika Road development is a coastal haven offering breath-taking views and proximity to Ngunguru’s best beaches. Just a few minutes’ walk from the estuary, the sites are accessed via a paved private road and right of ways, promising a serene coastal living experience, says Kari. “This development is a rare opportunity to own a coastal residential section in the sought-after Ngunguru village, renowned for its pristine beaches and vibrant community life,” she says. Ngunguru village provides a host of amenities, including a foodmart, hardware store, takeaway, church, doctors, café, and art gallery. The Ngunguru Estuary walkway, starting from Te Maika Road, offers scenic strolls along the estuary, private beaches, and panoramic views across Whangaumu Bay and the Hen and Chickens Islands. Te Maika Road is strategically located near Tutukaka Harbour, a world-renowned desti- “This development is a rare opportunity to own a coastal residential section in the sought-after Ngunguru village....” nation rated by National Geographic as the second-best coastline globally. The area offers opportunities for diving charters to Poor Knights Islands, game fishing, and safe-swimming beaches. It is just a 25-minute drive to Whangarei and 2.5-hour drive to Auckland CBD. Each site in both subdivisions includes underground power, fibre-optic connectivity to the boundary, sewer and stormwater connections. The Kerikeri subdivision also includes town water connection. Kari emphasises Traverse Group’s commitment to creating enjoyable environments and fostering a sense of community in its projects, an ethos that has filtered down from the fact it is a family owned and operated company. Kari’s parents Paul and Bitten Fearon started the company in 2005, brother Kent is general manager and his wife Kelly manages administration and investments for the Group. From sourcing and purchasing land, designing a subdivision and gaining consents, overseeing completion of earthworks and roadworks, through to sales to the end customer — Traverse Group manage every stage of the process. The Group is also undertaking its first venture in the South Island. Located in Picton, Kari says the Group is hoping to break ground in the New Year.
