Comfortable Home T T Karen Phelps BUILDING Comfortable Home has had its first House of the Year win in the 2023 competition taking out a regional gold for the Waikato in the Builder’s Own Home category. Company director Jeff Jin says the accolade demonstrates that Comfortable Home is reaching top levels of quality in its build projects. He says that the recognition has generated interest, although the majority of the company’s work continues to come through word-ofmouth referrals from satisfied clients. Jeff’s journey in the construction world began when a mentor gave him the confidence to start his apprenticeship and qualify as a builder. In 2016 he took a leap of faith and founded Comfortable Home, starting with a personal project – five apartments in Dinsdale, Hamilton. This inaugural venture set the stage for a series of small development projects, establishing the company as a trusted player in the industry. Jeff says that what sets Comfortable Home apart is not just its portfolio of residential new homes, renovations and small development projects, including apartments, duplexes, townhouses, and stand-alone homes, but Jeff’s unwavering passion for each project’s uniqueness. With over a decade of experience, he infuses every build with a high level of expertise, bringing a personal touch to each project. “We pride ourselves on effective communication and well-established systems, ensuring a seamless journey from design to the completion of each home.” As members of Registered Master Builders it can also offer the Master Build Guarantee, providing homeowners with an added layer of confidence in the quality and durability of their homes. This guarantee reflects the company’s commitment to transparency and accountability in its construction processes, he says. The award-winning property showcased at the 2023 Waikato House of the Year Awards is a true reflection of Jeff’s talents and craftsmanship. A labour of love, the 294sqm home features a grand exterior with Abodo weatherboard, plaster and schist. Upon entering through the white front door, visitors are greeted by a generous lobby and living area, complete with mirrored ceilings. Timber raked ceilings, statement feature walls, and an abundance of glass showcase Jeff’s distinctive style. The spacious home boasts four bedrooms, two luxury bathrooms, two living areas, and “We pride ourselves on effective communication and well-established systems, ensuring a seamless journey from design to the completion of each home.” PAINTING PLASTERING DECORATING jslconstruction@outlook.co.nz 021 029 52598 Proudly Supporting Comfortable Home Gold franchisee of the year: 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019 2020 2021 & 2022 PH. 09 2634 000 | EMAIL. info@vistalitesouth.co.nz www.vistalite.co.nz VISTALITE SOUTH PROUD SUPPLIER OF PREMIUM WINDOWS AND DOORS TO COMFORTABLE HOME a designer kitchen adorned with touches of marble.
