| 119 North Shore-based property services company Taurus Group has carved out a niche in Auckland's maintenance sector by o ering comprehensive solutions across multiple trades under one umbrella. Taurus Group, comprising ive specialist divisions, has positioned itself as a one-stop solution for clients requiring swift response times and coordinated maintenance services. "Because we are multi-platform and master of all trades, customers can call us with their issues and we can handle it", says Karl Harris, owner of Taurus Group. Operating through its specialist divisions - Taurus Roo ing, Taurus Waterproo ing, Harris Property Maintenance, Titan Drainage and CCTV and Clearlight Solutions - the Group has developed strong relationships with a variety of clients. The Group's roo ing company undertakes new roofs, re-roofs and repairs. Its waterproo ing company o ers solutions ranging from below-ground tanking of basements and car parks to the installation of Taurus Group — for comprehensive roofing solutions warm roofs and membrane systems for decks and balconies. Meanwhile, Titan, its drainage company provides CCTV inspections and unblocking services, while the maintenance arm handles everything from interior and exterior house painting to gutter cleaning. Clearlight Solutions o ers residential and commercial clearlight replacement. "A focus on client satisfaction and getting the job done to a high standard is central to our approach", explains Karl, who has built the business over the past decade. Taurus Group works over both the commercial and residential sectors o ering both reactive maintenance and long-term preventative solutions via detailed property assessments and preventative maintenance programmes. These include comprehensive roof reports, gutter cleaning services, and moss treatment programmes designed to protect building assets and prevent costly future repairs. Karl says the group's expansion into specialist areas such as clearlight replacement and drainage has been driven by client demand for trusted contractors who understand the complexities of property maintenance and can work e ectively within body corporate and property management frameworks. This model has proved particularly e ective in situations requiring multiple trade skills, such as investigating and remedying weather-tightness issues, where problems often span di erent building systems and require coordinated solutions. The Group’s o ering has proved particularly popular with clients such as Aspire Property Management, with it regularly undertaking everything from emergency roof repairs to comprehensive building maintenance. "Our quick response capabilities and ability to cover all trades means property managers can make one call rather than trying to coordinate multiple contractors for complex jobs.” As an example he says the company’s range of services has proved particularly valuable for property managers dealing with water-related issues, where the source of a problem isn't immediately apparent. “Rather than needing to engage separate contractors for roo ing, drainage, and waterproo ing inspections, clients can access all these services through a single point of contact,” says Karl. The company's integrated approach proves invaluable during emergency situations, such as the recent Auckland loods, where rapid response was essential. With a team of approximately 60 licensed and trade-quali ied sta across all divisions, it can mobilise specialists without the delays typically associated with coordinating multiple contractors. Based in Albany but operating throughout Greater Auckland, Karl says Taurus Group is positioning itself as a valuable partner for a variety of clients with further additions to the Group’s raft of companies on the cards.
