It’s only a hop and a skip to the airport from here: they can be on a plane to Auckland for three or four days and then fly back to heaven.” Showcasing a new plan, dubbed Ruapehu, Generation Homes’ stunning new show home on Maru Terrace pays tribute to Taupō’s surrounding peaks and rocky foothills. It boasts a double-pavilion layout with high raked ceilings, striking floor-to-ceiling windows and a sophisticated black-and-white interior, complemented by natural grey and timber tones. From the street, the home’s grey-and-white timber exterior, topped with dark, sloped roofing, packs a lot of appeal.
