It provides mobile crane hire services to a wide range of industries and businesses from its two locations, Auckland and Hamilton. “We provide innovative solutions for all job sizes,” says company operations manager Terence Teixeira. “Our team are qualified, experienced, and committed to providing our customers with exceptional customer service.” Auckland Cranes began as a family crane hire business over 40 years ago. While it has now grown to become one of the largest crane hire companies in the Auckland and Waikato region, it remains a family business at heart. “We combine our family business culture with a high capacity, modern fleet,” says Terence. “This family culture means our team really take pride in their work and are extremely passionate about all they do. If it’s a difficult job, Auckland Cranes has a solution; there is a strong willingness from our team to take on a challenge and make things happen.” Terence says the industry is always looking for new people and being a crane operator is a rewarding career. Auckland Cranes places a big focus on training its people, from entering the industry with no experience right up to the most experienced in the field. Terence says the company can provide lifelong career opportunities and currently employs around 80 staff. Auckland Cranes offers employment opportunities in the areas of dogging, rigging, crane driving, truck driving, mechanics and office administration throughout the Auckland and Waikato regions. “You come to a project at the start and are involved till the end. “Our team takes a lot of joy in being able to drive past a building and know they were involved in it from the ground up.” Auckland Cranes has a fleet of over 50 cranes ranging from 2.5 tonnes to 450 tonnes, including mobile cranes, mini crawler cranes, and self-erecting tower cranes. The fleet is available for wet or dry hire, manned or unmanned hire, and casual or term hire. Auckland Cranes can service all sized jobs, from small residential and commercial lifts to major construction and infrastructure projects, as well in process or refinery facilities for resources and energy clients. Terence says Auckland Cranes is fortunate to be involved in some very interesting projects meaning no day is ever the same. “Every job is different and you never stop learning. You work on a variety of machines and we have some of the largest cranes in the Southern Hemisphere from 12 tonne through to 45 tonnes.”
