Local connection brings satisfaction Laser Electrical Kaitaia is proudly locally owned and operated, which is why working on the Te Hiku Sports Hub project has been particularly gratifying. “It’s important to us to support the communities who support our business. Laser Electrical Kaitaia is completing all the electrical requirements for the project including for mechanical services, lighting and the pools. It’s a large and complex project and demonstrates the huge capabilities of the Laser Electrical Kaitaia team, says Darryl. “Our goal at Laser Electrical Kaitaia simple - to provide fast, e icient and reliable service in a number of ields, catering to all domestic and commercial requirements. Basically we try and get involved as early as possible, as we did on this project, to provide important advice so projects run smoothly and we can identify possible issues and come up with the best solutions.” This requires close collaboration with clients and other contractors on the project, keeping people informed every step of the way. Flexibility and adaptability are also important. The team will work on Te Hiku Sports Hub for most of 2022. Laser Electrical Kaitaia completes a diverse array of electrical work from orchard irrigation to retail itouts to new housing. It has recently completed the electrical component of Peekaboo Backyard Eatery and the new Mainfreight depot. Darryl says the team also has great expertise in solar installation, having completed solar projects for Kaitaia College, the largest school solar system at the time, and more recently, Kerikeri High School, which has a solar system twice that size. Both projects were completed on behalf of Super Power NZ. Laser Electrical Kaitaia is also the proud installer for Far North Solar Systems working on a range of o grid, grid tied and hybrid solar systems. Laser Electrical Kaitaia also completes maintenance and servicing work and o ers an emergency call out service. Darryl says the team has a family company culture, where everyone helps each other to get the job done for the best result for the client. The team numbers around 16, making it a signi icant employer for the region. There is a policy of o ering new opportunities and Laser Electrical Kaitaia takes on a minimum of two apprentices each year. Some senior sta have around 25 years experience meaning Laser Electrical Kaitaia can o er a huge wealth of knowledge and expertise.
