Hunua Views, a new community in Drury, Auckland, has just passed the halfway mark with 300 dwellings now complete and a growing community of residents who call Hunua Views home. With civil works complete, builders are now commencing stage five, which comprises lots and a small retail hub. Ȋ+unua 9iews o΍ers a unique lifestyle perfect for those who value a little more space and separation from the intensity of the city,” says development manager for Classic Developments Phil Nicholson. “It really hits the sweet spot of a΍ordability and bang for buck.ȋ Upon completion, Hunua Views will consist of 00 new homes, o΍ering a variety of single and two-level options. Standalone dwellings, a rarity in other comparable local developments, says Phil, are a predominant feature in Hunua Views. Classic Developments has teamed up with some of New Zealand’s most trusted build partners and homes are being sold exclusively via house and land packages. Classic Builders, G.J Gardner Homes and Navigation Homes have been involved from the outset and in stage five will be Moined by Frame +omes and Generation Homes. Surrounding development adds to the desirability of Hunua Views, he says. For example the adjacent Drury South Crossing Business Hub is at the tail end of a near 20-year journey. Businesses are starting to move in to the industrial, commercial, and retail spaces, which once fully complete will bring around 7,000 jobs to the area. Eight minutes down the road, the new Drury Town Centre project, lead by Sylvia Park owners Kiwi Property, is also underway which will bring more jobs, along with amenity, cafes, retail, a community centre and library. The Government’s New Zealand Upgrade Programme is also funding three new train stations for southern Auckland. The new stations, two at Drury and one in Paerata, will include bus interchange and park-and-ride facilities and allow for connecting walking and cycle paths. Located 45 minutes south of Auckland, Phil says that Hunua Views feels a world away from the City. The Hunua Ranges Regional Park is Must down the road and o΍ers miles of hiking trails, while the Firth of Thames provides ample opportunities for water sports and fishing. Within the community itself, natural wetlands, streams, walkways and expansive green spaces have been woven throughout, surrounding the homes in greenery. A 5,000sqm freshwater wetland, one of the largest in New Zealand, has been opened within the Drury South Crossing development. This adds to the extensive public recreation surrounding Hunua Views, says Phil. The community also o΍ers excellent educational options for children under and over the age of five. A brand-new New Shoots facility has recently opened within Hunua Views, while the nearby Ramarama School is conveniently accessible by walking or biking. Classic Developments is one of Aotearoa’s largest end to end property developers, delivering large scale residential, commercial and industrial projects across the country. For more than 25 years it has specialised in the acquisition, development, and management of land opportunities creating both highly functional and aesthetically unique spaces that stand the test of time. Phillip says this gives purchasers in Hunua Views true assurance. People interested in building a new home in Hunua Views can visit the Showhome Village located at 7 Kohukohunui Lane, Ramarama. The showhomes are open throughout the week and weekend making it easy for people to pop in and visit whenever it suits, says Phil.
