Surrounded by the clear blue waters of the magnificent Northland east coast, Marsden Landing enjoys the protection of the Whangarei Harbour, plus the much sought after outlook north towards Mount Manaia on the Whangarei Heads. Nestled between Marsden Point and One Tree Point, the 35 hectare residential development is 15 minutes from Whangarei city, and o΍ers a spacious and relaxed seaside lifestyle, that embraces the beach, the water, and the harbour. Marketing Consultant Warren Frogley says with all the surrounding infrastructure, the land was prime for residential development. “It’s coastal living, right next to Marsden Cove Marina and boat ramp, and Ruakaka surf beach. You have the boat ramp, you have the marina, and you have the shops and café. One Tree Point primary school is right next door, while Bream Bay college is in Ruakaka The development also includes numerous parks with playgrounds and there is quite a reasonable area set aside for retail on the northern section of the development.” Developed by WFH Properties Ltd, Marsden Landing was launched in 2016, and includes approximately 450 lots, between 550 - 1000m, with most averaging between 600-700sqm. One stage has been progressively released each year, with each stage averaging fifty lots. To date around 250 homes have been built, with construction now underway in Stage 6. “They are all stand-alone homes,” explains Warren. “There are no high density lots in this development. The homes are beautiful single level three and four bedroom, double garage homes, constructed from a mix of materials including linear, block and plaster. The built development has a nice, modern contemporary feel, lending itself to what’s known as the Omaha look — a lovely blend of a city home and coastal bach look. Ζt’s an a΍ordable coastal lifestyle by the sea to relax with the families, or retire with just a short commute to the city. A lot of the earlier sales were sold to Aucklanders wanting to escape the big city life, while still enjoying modern conveniences.” Warren says that Stage 7 is now selling, and Stage 8 will be released later in the year. The th and final stage will be released in 0 , and is expected to be completed in 2025. While half the sections are being marketed to private clients, the other half are being released to approved building companies to maintain control of the speed of build and quality of homes in the development. “We endeavour to have stages completed and built out in succession. We wanted to avoid having stages lingering with grass growing long in sections, while people happily living on neighbouring sections were suddenly confronted with a construction site next to their home.” Twenty minutes north of Auckland City, Millwater is another of WFH Properties projects. Made up of five communities within 1 0 hectares — Bonair, Ridgedale, Seaview, Arran Point and Arran +ills ȃ Millwater o΍ers a coastal lifestyle, with modern amenities. Developed around tranquil rivers, rolling hills, parks and playing fields, a growing business centre and a selection of top quality educational facilities, Millwater o΍ers a rich community spirit and is nestled between the well-established suburbs of Orewa, Red Beach and Silverdale, which has its own mall and eateries. “While not right on the coastline, the majority of properties have views to the sea, plus access to a huge variety of recreational activities, from water sports to golf, parks, reserves and sports grounds,” says Warren. “The area was once covered in Kauri, which was milled by the early settlers then ȵoated and transported out the Orewa and Weiti rivers — hence the name Millwater.” Launched in 2009, Millwater has a total of 3200 lots, with Arran Hills the last stage and will be completed approximately in 0 . All sections in the other four communities within Millwaters have now been sold. “There will be 176 lots within Arran Hills, with 40 lots in the current stage, which will include two high-density lots and a commercial space. In total there will be approximately sixty homes with a mix of stand-alone and terraced houses.” Sections in Arran Hills will range between 3 0 – 00 sqm, and all lots are sold to approved builders, then sold to purchasers. “Again, this maintains speed and quality of build. All our marketing is direct to public, pointing them to the location and availability, and how to purchase through build companies.”
