DEVELOPMENT The development of a new 7400sqm warehouse plus offices and breezeway in Bell Avenue, Mount Wellington, showcases Southpark Corporation’s commitment to providing purpose-built functional spaces for their tenants. Headquartered in Auckland, Southpark Corporation is a family owned and operated vertically integrated business, with industrial and commercial property development projects throughout New Zealand. The Bell Avenue warehouse has been purpose built for Tile Space, a leading importer and distributor of ceramic and porcelain tiles in New Zealand, with distributors nationwide. Centrally located, Bell Avenue is close to all the major transports networks and is a sort after location for businesses that need to distribute within the city, or beyond. Designed by Tse Architects, the warehouse has been built by Auckland based Elio Construction, who were awarded the contract following a competitive tender process. Southpark Corporation’s Senior Asset Manager, Julie Sarten says Elio Construction had previously worked with Southpark on two other projects including industrial units, and a storage facility for Fonterra. “During these projects we developed a partnering relationship with Elio and had confidence that this relationship would again be an important feature of the Tile Space Project.
