30 | Ingham Driven and Livingstone Building T T Sue Russell New dealership home to four brands DEVELOPMENT The new dealership and workshop facility in Taupo is a strategically important development for the business, says Managing Director of Ingham Motor Group, Trent Ingham. “Our current dealership in Taupo is on Ruapehu Street while the new site is located on the corner of Spa Road and Titiraupenga Street,” confirms Trent. “It was originally under three separate titles but seeing the promise of this great site, we bought them as they became available. This allowed us to make the most of the development opportunity.” The purchase of three locations has given Ingham a substantial site of 4,000 square meters and will include a generous showroom along with 10 working bays for vehicle servicing and maintenance. “We wanted this new building to reflect our reputation for service and product excellence. It’s going to be a very engaging destination for customers to not only view our range of vehicles but also be aware that we can take care of all their servicing and automotive needs.” At present the development is progressing very well, with a planned opening date at the end of October. As with all big projects, a significant level of planning has gone into the facility, designed by Hamilton-based DLA Architects and under construction by the well-established Waikato-based building company, Livingstone Construction. This will be the seventh building DLA Architects and Livingstone Construction has undertaken for Ingham, highlighting the successful and enduring relationship the company has forged with these two entities over the years. “The connection and level of trust we have established go back a long way. “My father, John, designed our Ingham Mitsubishi Te Awamutu dealership many years ago, and we worked with Livingstone Building on that project. Once you’ve had a great experience with a building company, you stick with them.” Ingham sees great potential in regions away from major metro centres and believes they are very much areas of growth. Accordingly, the company is currently developing a dealership complex in the rapidly growing Cambridge district. In Taupo, the new dealership will be home to four brands, initially opening with Hyundai and Izuzu, and then launching Omoda and Jaecoo later in the year. Built using stylish steel framing with an abundance of glass and the company’s brands displayed above and around the building, the new Ingham dealership reflects the professionalism and brand standards Ingham prides itself on. The large open showroom lends itself to showing the vehicles off to their best advantage and creating a visually engaging display. Trent says it’s exciting to contemplate the benefits the new Taupo dealership will deliver to customers and staff alike. “We wanted this new building to reflect our reputation for service and product excellence. It’s going to be a very engaging destination for customers to not only view our range of vehicles but also be aware that we can take care of all their servicing and automotive needs. “We look forward to growing our presence in the area and providing local customers with a wider array of automotive choices.” admin@actionelectrical.co.nz TE KUITI Ph. 07 878 5169 8 Seddon St OTOROHANGA Ph. 07 873 6385 79 Miro Street TAUPO Ph. 07 378 8545 Proud to support Ingham Driven & Livingstone Building
