We often get involved in the early design stage of projects, enabling us to o er our construction experience to help speed up project delivery.” Over the seven years that Hi-Tec Property Developments has been operating it has grown from a team of 10 to now a team of 45 sta that includes a construction manager, three project manages, foremen, leading hands, carpenters and labourers and apprentice carpenters studying towards gaining their BCITO quali ication. “The majority of our quali ied builders have been with us for ive plus years,” says Ryan. “Over the seven years, we’ve employed and trained a signi icant number of apprentice carpenters and currently have about twenty on our books, ranging from irst year apprentices to apprentices who have almost completed their time. Because Hi-Tec Property Developments is involved in construction projects from the early foundation stage, right through to the completion of the structure, they develop a real depth of knowledge about the whole development process. We have thirty plus years in all aspects of construction with machinery and skilled operators to allow us to cover civil, concrete and all aspects of construction builds.” Managing Director Steve Palmer adds that the people, the team culture and the strong work ethic have all contributed to the company’s successful growth. “It’s a very good company to become part of and progress into more responsibility and management. Development doesn’t just stop when you get quali ied. Ryan commenced with the business as an apprentice, and has progressed into the role of General Manager, running the business. Our Construction Manager, is another one who has come right through Hi-Tec and is now across multiple sites, as have our project managers. Building relationships is the other cornerstone of our success, and we go out of our way to ensure those relationships remain healthy.
