While a lot of what they do currently is in the commercial alteration, refurbishment and maintenance space, they are still ready to take on whatever work comes their way. The company’s commercial clients include organisations like the Auckland City Council, KiwiRail, integrated facility management services company BGIS New Zealand, utility contractor Ventia, CityCare and many more, as well as independent commercial clients wanting refurbishments and office fit-outs. They cover the top half of the North Island north of Whangarei down to Taumaranui in the south, with work including commercial office and bathroom refurbishments, alterations and extensions, general maintenance across mechanical and administration depots as well as residential renovations and new builds. Whatever comes along, JRC Builders will price it fairly based on their long experience. JRC Builders enjoy projects that some might see as problematic, such as the six-storey car park they are currently refurbishing in Newmarket. Re-roofing the car park means using 100- ton cranes to remove and replace all the steel purloins ready for the new Colorsteel roof, before descending level by level doing whatever structural repairs prove necessary. It’s high and it’s complicated, but they have the experience to know what’s needed to get the job done efficiently and safely. Another recent project involved turning half of the old Manukau City K-Mart into a 2000sqm-plus gym, including a wellness centre complete with ice-bath and sauna, a daycare centre, multiple fitting rooms, a large fire-rated mezzanine floor to take all the cardio and group fitness machines and every other feature needed in a brand-new contemporary gym. “While not complex as such, it was a job with multiple layers and a tight time frame,” says Shaun Robinson. “We took pride in working to, and delivering the project on time and on budget five months later. Working inside the old shell was a bonus for the team, with no wet weather to worry about.” CALL NOW. www.hibiscuscoastscaffolding.co.nz 477C Whangaparaoa Road, Stanmore Bay 021 960 793 JRC Builders take pride in providing their own quotes. They don’t use quantity surveyors, but trust their own experience, quoting realistically, and hitting their deadlines. They have built long-standing relationships with their suppliers, and have been working with the same crew of subbies for long enough to know they can count on them when they need them, and that in turn means their clients can count on JRC to do what they say they will. It’s a win-win all round.
