Many of our major clients have been with us since the beginning, and have been instrumental in our continued success.” CONSTRUCTION From small maintenance jobs to largescale commercial refurbishments, TPW has cemented its place as a leader in Auckland’s construction industry, achieving a high level of sustained growth and an impressive portfolio of successful projects, all executed with precision and expertise. Founded 15 years ago, Auckland-based TPW has built a reputation for delivering high-quality projects while fostering long-term client relationships. With 42 staff members and four distinct divisions, TPW continues to expand its presence in the industry, driven by its commitment to excellence and innovation. TPW’s story began with three founders, who initially took on handyman projects. As demand for their services grew, and relationships with their clients strengthened, they transitioned into larger-scale construction projects. Eight years ago, Chris Brebner and Nathan McCullum joined Lyall Kainamu as directors of the company, and together the three shaped its trajectory. Through strategic business relationships with major property portfolios, TPW expanded alongside its clients, handling increasingly complex projects. “We’ve been fortunate to build strong, lasting partnerships,” says Chris. “Many of our major clients have been with us since the beginning, and have been instrumental in our continued success.” As TPW grew, Chris, Nathan, and Lyall made a conscious effort to upskill their workforce. Experts from tier 1 construction firms were brought in to mentor the team, sharing industry best practices and tips and tricks. TPW also engaged experienced business mentors, who helped refine the company’s pricing strategies and operational efficiencies. Despite recent economic challenges, TPW has remained resilient. “The past two years have been our best yet in terms of turnover and profit,” Chris says. “We attribute that to the strength of our client relationships and the high quality of our work.” One of TPW’s standout projects is the recently completed Lexus flagship showroom in Newmarket. This collaboration with the Giltrap Group showcases TPW’s ability to deliver high-spec, beautifully finished spaces that align with the luxury brand’s image. “We’ve been working with Giltrap for the past seven years, completing multiple showroom projects for them. These projects are always exciting for our team because they involve premium materials like American white oak, allowing them to put a bit of art in their craft,” Chris says. The Lexus showroom posed unique challenges, as the building was more than 86 years old and came with a range of historical issues. However, the TPW team navigated all of these complexities with skill and efficiency, ultimately delivering the project ahead of schedule. “It was a pleasure to hand over such a stunning space to Giltrap and Lexus,” Chris says. “It was a great success. Everyone involved hit all of their targets all the way through and took great pride in the outcome.” Looking ahead, TPW has ambitious plans for growth. The company is now preparing to expand into the Bay of Plenty region and is assembling a skilled team to support this new venture. “It’s an exciting time for us, and we’re taking careful steps to ensure a strong foundation in this new market,” Chris says. Beyond geographical expansion, TPW remains committed to maintaining its high
