Customkit Buildings senior marketing executive Hannah Richards says that such accolades reflect the fact that the company is right on track. “The design award indicates our designs have captured the eye of a lot of people and been well-shared on the Houzz site,” says Hannah. “The House and Garden award is an impor- tant recognition of the work we are doing. In today’s world where we are so much more aware of environmental impact, the fact that timber is a sustainable and renewable re- source sits well with our company philosophy and we would like to think we contribute to New Zealand’s clean green image.” Customkit Buildings began in 1993 and produces a range of timber kitset buildings for a variety of market segments. “We a vast range of plans to choose from and are frequently used as a starting point however we are more than happy to start from scratch and customise a client’s own per- sonal design to fit their individual needs,” says customer services manager Tanya Parker. Tanya was a Customkit Buildings client before working for the company so can offer a unique perspective. “I enjoyed the transparency of the process. They really listened. There was also a lot of flexibility in the process – I could be as in- volved as much or as little as I wanted to be.” “It’s about helping our clients spend their money wisely,” adds Hannah. “We listen to what they want then offer suggestions to help them achieve their goals within their budget.” Customkit Buildings only uses high quality materials, sourced and manufactured from re- newable resources throughout New Zealand.
