The latest Just Kidz centre at Beachlands, Auckland has brought the high quality childcare brand another opportunity to create a link with its local community. Since the first Just Kidz centre opened at Dannemora in 2001, Just Kidz has continued to grow at a rapid pace, with a franchise model developed in 2018 and the new Beachlands centre being the eighth Just Kidz centre set to open. The ninth Just Kidz centre at Wairau Valley is already in the development stage. Just Kidz operations manager Vanessa Henry says Just Kidz has always aimed to forge genuine connections in its communities, providing a warm home away from home as well as helping preschoolers to eventually transition into their local schools and move into the next phase of their life learning. “This is why this opportunity at Beachlands, presented by Signature Developments, felt like a great fit for Just Kidz, especially with Beachlands School right across the road,” she says. “We know there are already some good centres in the area, but it is a fairly busy area with a lot of families living there, and we felt there was room for another high quality childcare centre.” Just Kidz took a well designed provision by Signature Developments and made some alterations to suit. The kitchen has been opened up to two of the classrooms, so Just Kidz can allow children to see and be aware of the food preparation process. Viewing windows have been added to doors, sound absorption product has been added, and the exterior playground has been designed by Just Kidz in conjunction with a separate contractor, to maximise natural elements. Just Kidz also recently developed centres at Henderson and Ormiston Town Centre and all three of these developments have happened through Covid. Vanessa says all have stayed on schedule, whiteware was one of the slowest supplies to arrive, but all came together in time for opening. “I’m just about to order all the resources and furniture for Beachlands, which is earlier than I normally would, so I’m confident we will be completely finished and ready for licensing in June.” Vanessa says these like all Just Kidz developments are about getting the right design and build and the right people to franchise with. “We are very much about high quality,” she says. “Whenever we set up a centre, we spend significantly on beautiful resources and equipment and high quality furniture. “All of our teachers are either qualified or in training, and we offer greater options on session times so we can be there for parents when they need us, to name a few points.” Quix Auckland Ltd are available Auckland wide, from the Bombay Hills in the south through to the Mangawhai region in the north.
