As a result Lindesay Construction boasts a multi award-winning team of Registered Master Builders who are dedicated to creating unique homes. Lindesay Construction has its headquarters in Auckland with local building teams based in Waiheke, Rodney, Kaipara and the Far North. Hamish says building with Lindesay Construction is a bespoke and highly personal experience. The company works with a small stable of high profile architects, often contributing from the preliminary plan stage to value engineer the process for buildability, cost control etc. On the Lindesay Construction team is also Philip’s son William, who assists in project management, procurement, cost control, construction programming, compliance and detailing, thus reducing risk for all parties. Specialist high-end residential electrical contractors Nexus Electrical operate at the cutting edge of the latest technology for New Zealand’s most upmarket homes. Complex networking, home automation and the latest lighting control systems are all in a day’s work for the Nexus Electrical team. Its expertise has seen the team work alongside some of the country’s top architects and builders such as Lindesay Construction. Based in Auckland Nexus Electrical is a local family owned business started over 30 years ago by Leith Wilson. Today the company is run by Leith’s wife Ellen Jane, daughter Ruby (administration), son Logan (project manager) and son in law Sam Campbell (general manager). “Being a whānau run business we care a lot about the reputation of the business and that is re lected in the service we provide. We always strive to provide the very best service and that’s why the business has been successful for over three decades,” says Sam, a quali ied electrician with over a decade’s experience. Moving with the times over the decades has seen the company move beyond the niche Leith established working on hazardous area installations for the petroleum industry, which it still does today, to gain specialist expertise in the latest technology for residential projects. From basic electrical wiring, the Nexus Electrical team can take care of all the electrical requirements for homes from basic to the most upmarket. Smart lighting, sophisticated security systems, automatic blinds, heating that turns on remotely and multi room sound systems - all operated from a touch screen or phone - are just some of the types of projects that Nexus Electrical completes. Sam says that Nexus Electrical can get involved in projects early – even at the design phase – to add its expertise regarding the electrical component of a home project. “We can identify what needs to be done and the easiest way to do it as well as troubleshoot. We can help make architects, builders and home owners aware of the options and potential pitfalls,” explains Sam. “It’s about providing a one stop shop and delivering an end result that is user friendly and exactly meets their lifestyle and requirements.” Nexus Electrical employs a small dedicated and highly skilled team. Sam says constant training and up-skilling is the norm, as technology never stands still. Nexus Electrical is certi ied Control4 dealers, has expertise in solar (a growing area) and is a member of Master Electricians and Site Safe. Its hazardous installation work sees Nexus Electrical working from Northland to Taranaki and in the wider Auckland region for residential projects.
