People in their 30s come here because their parents are looking at it and the kids go – ‘ohhh, could we move in?’” Already built is a block of 46 one- and two-bedroom apartments, and a block of 36 two- and three-bedroom apartments. The third block, which is now out of the ground, consists of 36 two- and three-bedroom apartments that will be completed in 2026, following which a hospital-level care centre will be built. Forty-three villas have already been completed, with 11 new villas due to be completed early 2025 and a further 20 planned in future stages. Chris says that there are a myriad of reasons why people decide to move into a lifestyle village, including lock-up-and-leave that enables them to travel without worrying about the gardens, moving closer to family or simply freeing up their lives to enjoy their retirement years. “People are making choices about their future when they are still in control of doing so. They choose something that’s fun and luxury, and they don’t have to do the garden nor wash the windows. Life is not stopping, it’s just less complicated.
