Founded in Rotorua in 1976 by Terry Rose, Bruce Nicklen and Robert Marshall, the company has grown from a small local operation into a nationwide industry leader. Today it is owned by Mark Jarmey, Ryan Jarmey and Brad Coxhead, who continue to build on the founders’ legacy of quality workmanship and technical excellence. “Reaching 50 years reflects the strength of the business, the loyalty of our clients and the skill of our people,” explains Ryan. “We’ve worked hard to honour the legacy we inherited while continuing to grow and modernise the company.” Over the decades Best Insulation has expanded both its capability and geographic reach. It now delivers a comprehensive range of services including industrial insulation, sheet metal fabrication, ducting and HVAC support. These services are backed by fully equipped in-house workshops featuring advanced machinery, CAD design and efficient manufacturing systems that allow it to take on projects of all sizes across a wide variety of industries. From geothermal power stations and dairy plants to oil and gas sites, timber processing facilities, rendering plants and large-scale manufacturing, the company provides complete solutions, from initial design and planning through to fabrication, installation and final quality assurance. Ryan says this breadth of expertise has cemented its reputation as a trusted partner for complex industrial projects throughout the country. A key part of its long-term success has been its strong, reliable partnerships, particularly its long-standing relationship with Kawerau Engineering. “We’ve been working alongside Kawerau Engineering for over a decade and a half,” says Ryan. “As their sole supplier and installer of industrial insulation and sheet-metal solutions, we collaborate both in their workshop and on site. Despite this national footprint, Ryan says the company remains firmly rooted in Rotorua, where its central hub continues to manage major industrial work across New Zealand.
