Apex Property Group is not an ordinary developer. Rather than focusing purely on profit, the aim is to build communities that add real value to Hamilton and create housing that locals love to live in, says company director Nan Su. “Basically we want to build a better Hamilton,” he says, “places people and communities can thrive in.” Nan has lived in Hamilton most of his life so the city is dear to his heart. He moved there from China to study at university completing an Ecommerce degree majoring in finance. He started a successful import and wholesale business, which he still operates today, and began Apex Property Group in 2013. Apex Property Group hit the ground running and has been incredibly successful, completing a large number of diverse developments around the city ranging from stand alone homes to townhouses, apartments, duplexes and commercial. Nan says that the focus for Apex Property Group has always been on delivering real value. “For us it’s not about the highest density possible. We design to fit in with the surroundings and existing housing, respecting the people that already live in the neighbourhoods. The focus is not on the now; it’s with an eye to the future.” He says that Apex Property Group’s systems and network enable it to benefit from economies of scale. “We have streamlined our construction and development processes for maximum value for every dollar spent. This process ensures that we get quality build while reducing long-term maintenance expenses,” he explains. Crest Rise, a current development in Flagstaff, is a good example. Nan says the location was what got him excited, situated on top of a hill offering superb views of the mountains and city. Apex Property Group is offering a range of three and four bedroom homes. The three bedroom homes comprise 130155sqm and offer an ensuite, full bathroom, living area and kitchen plus single garage situated over two levels. The four-bedroom homes at 178sqm are similar with the addition of the extra bedroom and a double garage. The generous sizes results in a spacious home that is comfortable to live in, says Nan. Aimed at owner-occupiers – first homebuyers and downsizers – the homes start from $1.1m. Other projects currently underway include 27 townhouses and duplexes at Borman Road. Spread over two levels there are two bedroom and three bedroom options. Daniel says the two-bedroom option is great for investors, extended family or those wanting to rent out a room to help pay the mortgage and the downstairs contains the second bedroom with its own bathroom making it fairly self-contained. The development is located close to good schools, supermarket and the expressway.
