DO OUR READERS KNOW YOU EXIST? Frontier Estate is at the forefront of the changing face of Te Awamutu. The subdivision was launched shortly before the first nationwide Covid-19 lockdown and stage four is about to be released. Frontier Developments director Lyall Green says that stage three sold out within 24 hours indicating the huge interest in the development and in Te Awamutu as a place to live. “Frontier Estate is all about lifestyle. Everything people could need is within walking distance. If you have always wanted to live close to amenities and open spaces, now is the perfect opportunity,” he says. Comprising 39.5ha, Frontier Estate is a community made up of over 400 lots with sizes starting from 500sqm through to 776sqm. The development has been designed with sustainability and community at its heart: 6.77ha have been dedicated to family-friendly parklands, which will be surrounded by 26,500 native plants, gully systems, and 2km of walking trails. Amenities located within Frontier Estate include a commercial hub with up to 12 tenancies, cafe, daycare facility for 80-100 children, playground including an adult outdoor gym, council maintained community orchard and landscaped gardens. Lyall says the playground is presently being designed and Frontier Developments is talking to interested parties for the commercial tenancies including a medical practice, pharmacy and physio. “Frontier Estate is excited about the vision for the commercial hub area. With great parking and access, and located right by the cafe and playground, this space is set in a stunning and unique environment. Overall design is at the beginning stages and we are seeking registration of interest,” says Lyall. Services are provided for all sections in Frontier Estate including gas, fibre, power, water, sewer and storm-water. Several build partners are working in the subdivision including Bennett Homes, Cambridge Homes, David Reid Homes, Jennian Homes, Lunix Homes, Signature Homes, Wilson Designer Homes and ZB Homes. There are five show homes for people to visit by Bennett Homes, Cambridge Homes, David Reid Homes, Lunix Homes and ZB Homes. “Our aim is to make the building process as enjoyable and stress free as possible. People can buy a section of their choice in Frontier Estate and employ their own designer and builder or alternatively negotiate a land and house package directly with Frontier Estate build partners. . By working with one of the Frontier Estate reputable building partners, people can design their home to meet their every need and comply with the Frontier Estate covenants.” He says covenants protect homeowners’ investment and include sustainable building requirements. For example all homes constructed at Frontier Estate are required to have no less than 150% of thermal insulation required by H1 of the New Zealand Building Code for the Te Awamutu region. “A fully insulated Frontier Estate home will only need 65% of the heating/cooling energy compared to a standard new home design. This is because the extra insulation in a Frontier Estate home reduces the rate heat is lost through ceilings, walls and floors meaning it requires less energy to heat or cool the home while providing a healthier environment by reducing condensation, damp and mould.” Frontier Developments is a continuation of the residential subdivision work the team has been involved with since 2000, which has resulted in successful projects such as Strathmore Estate and Horsham Estate in Hamilton. Lyall says Te Awamutu was selected due to the opportunities it presented to offer a relaxed lifestyle in a rural location. He says it has been attracting a wide range of purchasers from families to retirees. “Te Awamutu is growing a lot and Frontier Estate will support and facilitate that continued growth.” There will be a total of 12 stages in Frontier Estate. Stage four brings a total of 36 sections that will be released to the market in two parts starting mid to late April. • Further information can be found on the Frontier Estate subdivision web site www. frontierestate.co.nz We encourage you to dream, explore and join us on a journey to create a home that is uniquely tailored to your personality and the way you live.
