Waipa: BO & CO Electrical REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT Servicing the electrical needs of the Waikato region, young family business BO and CO Electrical has found a niche market for solar and solar systems for homes and businesses, and is becoming more specialised and more efficient at the installation process by the day. BO and CO Electrical was established by qualified electrician Sam and Hayley Bryant in Cambridge in 2019, as they looked to exceed the expectations of their customers with an honest and hardworking approach, outstanding personable service, and high quality results. Prior to training as an electrician, Sam owned his own audio visual business and worked on installation projects from the most simple sky dish to the most complex home automation systems. Starting his electrician apprenticeship aged 25, he was already well advanced at running cables. Sam has always taken pride in his work, and applies a level of attention to detail that results in a high standard of electrical solutions. His high standard of workmanship was flagged by Harrisons Solar and BO and CO was soon asked to operate as a subcontracted mobile solar expert for Cambridge. Sam set up a dedicated solar installation team which now completes three or four solar installations each week. “There are more jobs available but the issue at the moment is getting the solar equipment in,” Sam says. “Solar is a huge growth area. It has become a lot more affordable and Harrisons offers payment terms which makes it a lot more accessible for most households. The increasing cost of power and more people moving to EV cars has made people more conscious not Kelly Deeks RESIDENTIAL | COMMERCIAL | AUDIO/VISUAL | SOLAR Ph: 027 202 1440 | E: info@boandcoelectrical.co.nz www.boandcoelectrical.co.nz LOUVRES • OUTDOOR BLINDS • GLASS SLIDING PANELS • POOL FENCING info@sunsetspaces.co.nz | 021 228 9289 | www.sunsetspaces.co.nz just of the environmental aspect but also the financial aspect of power consumption. The initial outlay for a solar system is now much more beneficial in the long-term.” BO and CO Electrical is now using its solar expertise to ensure its customers’ systems are well designed with all the right equipment to capture the most sunlight and reduce those power bills as much as possible. About 90% of BO and CO Electrical’s solar installations are carried out on existing homes and businesses. Sam says German solar engineering is advancing at such a pace, even China can’t keep up. The latest high-performing German engineered solar panels, Q Cells MAXX 410w, are now available from Harrisons Solar and offer enduring high-performance, a higer yield per surface area, lower upfront costs, higher power classes, and an efficiency rate of up to 19.5%. Solar photovoltaics are the world’s fastest growing electricity source and the ever-increasing demand is making BO and CO Electrical faster and more efficient with every installation completed. “Our dedicated solar team is getting better and better every day, and our two electrical apprentices are gaining some good experience that transitions across into the other services we offer.” BO and CO Electrical’s residential services cover the design and installation of complete home wiring, home automation, lighting design and solutions, underfloor heating, TV and data, switchboard upgrades, smoke alarms, fault finding, general repairs, and more. In the commercial sector, BO and CO Electrical completes full design and installation of electrical services for new premises, as well as wiring, lighting, emergency checks and maintenance, and any other electrical service.
