| 21 D L Good Plumbing (DLG) is a company built on legacy, skill, and a long-standing commitment to quality workmanship. The business traces its origins back to the 1950s when founder Donald Good completed his plumbing apprenticeship with distinction, earning the prestigious James Douglas Medallion, awarded to the top apprentice plumber, gas tter or drainlayer in New Zealand. From small residential beginnings, the company quickly expanded into large-scale commercial work, becoming involved in some of Auckland’s earliest high-rise developments and hundreds of major commercial projects. Over time, DLG became part of the wider Good Brothers group, a family-owned business structure that still underpins the company today. The business is now managed by Don’s son David, continuing the family tradition and values that have shaped the company for decades. During the past fteen years, DLG has also completed work on ve major prison projects including Ngawha, Springhill, Mt Eden ACRP, Wiri Men’s Prison, and Auckland East Prison, delivering complex plumbing solutions in demanding environments.
