Taking pride of place within an industrial/ commercial hub just off Manukau Road, the new dealership will replace three existing Ebbett sites in Pukekohe, bringing the Nissan, Kia, MG and Volkswagen brands under one roof. A joint venture between Ebbetts and Living- stone Building, the new dealership encom- passes 15,000sqm and includes a bright and airy showroom, large state of the art work- shop, concierge attended drive through and car yard with capacity for 200 plus new and used vehicles. Managing Director for Ebbett Pukekohe says having recently increased the brands to four, and continuing to service the Holden client base, aftersales servicing has increased significantly and was a key driver in the new development. “The service workshop will be one of the biggest in New Zealand with twenty seven hoists and will be very high-tech, incorpo- rating two automated car wash machines. Because of the Volkswagen brand and the big vans coming through for servicing there are also facilities to service commercial vehicles.” The development’s design splits the four brands in two, with two show rooms on each side and a customer drive through in the cen- tre leading to the workshop at the rear. “A concierge meets the client in the drive through and then takes the car through to the service workshop. “The client can then take a loan car away or wait in the café/lounge area that will be set up with wifi enabling people to work remotely. The show room itself is very appealing. The four brands all have their own corporate image reflected in the separate show room areas.” For those busy customers requiring mobility to go about their daily lives while their vehicle is in the care of Ebbett Pukekohe, a large fleet of loan cars will be available. Embracing new EV technology, which Ross says is becoming an increasing part of the business, the dealership will be set up with EV chargers that clients will have after hours access to. “We’ve also included a Wellness Centre, like a gym, for our staff to use before work, during their lunch break and after work. It’s the first time we’ve included a Wellness Centre, and “The service workshop will be one of the biggest in New Zealand with twenty seven hoists and will be very high- tech, incorporating two automated car wash machines.” I think it’s important that you provide that kind of facility for your staff. In total we will employ fifty staff, increasing our existing staff numbers by about ten new service technicians and a few more sales staff.” Designed by Hamilton based Chow:Hill Architects, the development is being built by Livingstone Building. The foundations have been laid and the concrete is about to be poured with the walls going up in the next six weeks. Excited to be part of the development, Ross says efficiency, customer service, ease of access and having all brands under one roof will all be key benefits of the eagerly awaited development. “I’ve been involved with Ebbetts for seven- teen years and this will be the biggest devel- opment Pukekohe will have seen for a very long time,” says Ross. “It brings employment opportunities and it will be a key feature in the town.” Phone: 03 983 5500 waterfordpress.co.nz DO OUR READERS KNOW YOU EXIST?
