Wavesong is located just 80 metres from the waterfront at Onetangi Beach and offers pur- chasers a choice of two designs ranging from 90-107sqm. Director of Wavesong, Pierre Limn, brings over 30 years of building industry experience to the development, which he says has been eagerly snapped up by purchasers wanting to secure their own bit of paradise in the Hauraki Gulf. Only 30 minutes ferry ride from downtown Auckland he says that the benefits of the de- velopment are many with 27 local vineyards, several offering world class event venues and restaurants, a golf course is just minutes from Onetangi, many coastal walking tracks and great fishing and diving year round. The small nearby town of Oneroa provides dining and entertainment essentials, support- ed by a commercial supply precinct. Designed by award-winning Auckland ar- chitects, Wavesong’s seven homes epitomise the very best contemporary New Zealand architecture has to offer, says Pierre. Wavesong homes come in two distinctive designs – Mahene and Taumata, from the Maori meaning for ‘serene’ and ‘resting place’. Both layouts offer spacious open-plan living, generous, sun-drenched north-facing decks, full-height floor-to-ceiling windows and doors, three double bedrooms with built-in ward- robes, and one-and-a-half bathrooms. “The concept of the design is to engender the quintessential Kiwi holiday home, with great indoor-outdoor flow, perfect for enter- taining any time of the year, flowing onto soft lawns and a beautifully landscaped fringe,” explains Pierre. Construction on Wavesong started in 2020 with Covid-19 throwing more than a few challenges up to the project. Completion is expected in early 2022. The homes have been constructed near Cambridge then transported to site, which has meant build efficiencies and speed of construction, says Pierre. Three are already completed and on the island with two under construction and two still available for purchase. Pierre’s company focuses on small boutique developments in Auckland. An uncompromising drive for quality com- bined with stylish design sets the company’s product apart. Standard features include custom made kitchens, fully tiled European bathrooms, timber overlay flooring, Bosch appliances and full landscaping offering people a turnkey product. Service is personal with people dealing with Pierre from start to finish. The company employs its own interior designer and works with leading architects. Currently under construction is a nine-townhouse development called Willow Terraces in Birkenhead, which has sold out. Just about to launch to the market is a three -house development in Point Chevalier on Maranui Avenue. It will offer three bedroom, two bathroom two storey terrace homes with open plan living/dining opening out onto a courtyard. There is also a second living area or office and internal access garage. Clad in weather- board the design of the homes is a nod to the traditional bungalows that populate the area. Pierre says that due to the hot Auckland property market that the developments usually sell out quickly but people can get in touch to register interest or find out what is coming up.
