T T to page 20 With the successful completion of the Richmond development 4 project in Mt Wellington, Auckland, Capri Construction once again demonstrated its dedication to delivering high quality builds in challenging environments. Capri Construction founder Bryan Symes says it was about taking a “one team” approach, with everyone working together to deliver a successful result for the client Wilshire Group. Capri Construction completed its part of the project in July, which saw it build a combination of two and three storey townhouses, some in a tricky location against a bank requiring various retaining walls. Bryan says the most challenging part of the job was the speed at which it needed to be built – just 14 months - in the very busy market of 2022. To ensure the quality required was achieved under the extreme pressure, Bryan’s wife Nataszha was on site full time for the final five months to closely manage the team. “If a developer pairs up with a builder and works with them this generates the best result. We’re all about being one team,” emphasises Bryan. Capri Construction has worked with Wilshire on the project for many years. The collaboration began with the completion of the award-winning Stage 1 in early 2016 and continued with subsequent stages including apartments and terraced houses.
