24 | DEVELOPMENT Safari Group: La Quinta Ellerslie T T Karen Phelps Demand strong at La Quinta Ellerslie La Quinta Ellerslie has opened for business and bookings are strong, says Safari Group marketing manager Laura Perez. “It’s in a great location with a lot of offices and businesses nearby so we are anticipating continued demand for the hotel rooms,” says Laura. Safari Group has been delivering hotel units across New Zealand for over 25 years and controls all aspects of the development process, from acquisition and permitting through to sales, marketing and construction. Laura says that it is this comprehensively integrated approach that guarantees all its projects are effectively and efficiently managed, every step of the way. She says because La Quinta Ellerslie units are a freehold commercial property with a lease in place they are a great first step for investors towards owning commercial property as they are already tenanted by a hotel operator, a franchisee of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, selected for its strong reliability and recognition as one of New Zealand’s best hotel service providers. La Quinta Ellerslie offers 103 fully furnished contemporary hotel units, modern amenities and its signature ‘Here For You’ service. Laura says the location is key. La Quinta Ellerslie is part of the Central Park complex, which includes restaurants and cafes. People can easily walk to the train station and Ellerslie Village plus there is good motorway access. Around half of the hotel units are already sold but good opportunities remain for potential investors, says Laura. La Quinta Ellerslie is part of a mixed-use development, which also includes The Residences at Central Park, where there are also opportunities for people to purchase. The development offers studio, one bedroom, two bedroom and dual key residential apartments. A dual-key property is particularly attractive to the savvy investor, says Laura. It comprises a studio plus a one-bedroom apartment. Each has its own kitchen and access thanks to a shared entry space. This gives an investor a lot of options, she says. “They can live in one and let the other out on a long-term basis, or let both. The dual space can also be utilised as one home if desired.” With interiors designed by Outline Design, intuitive layouts to the smallest design details have been thoughtfully considered. “Every element of the interiors has been considered to maximize comfort and style, contributing to the unsurpassed liveability and lifestyle offered by The Residences at Central Park,” says Laura. Quality has been at the forefront. For example all apartments have LVT flooring and engineered stone bench tops in the kitchens. The European-styled bathrooms include imported tiles. The philosophy of quality also of course extends to the building structure, which is solid steel framing and concrete floors rising from concrete piles anchored into the basalt rock below. The exterior is clad in a unitised curtain-wall façade system resulting in a great architectural look, generous light via plentiful glazing and is also weather tight, thermally and acoustically sound. The project includes a rooftop amenity garden accessible only for residents, and a gym – all of which help to promote a sense of neighbourliness. Laura says the aim with The Residences at Central Park has been to create an “urban community of the future”. While Safari Group aims its developments largely at investors to help supply much needed quality rental housing, Laura says that The Residences at Central Park is also at an attractive price point for first home buyers. “The location of La Quinta Ellerslie and The Residences makes them really appealing for tenants, homeowners and those looking to stay in a great hotel while visiting Auckland. We expect the properties to value well over time due to all these factors.” Open homes are now available for those wanting to know more about this brand-new building. 09 9308283 www.allwinfacade.co.nz enquiries@allwinfacade.co.nz Solutions provider of engineered architectural envelopes
