Morgan Pools T T Kelly Deeks POOL INDUSTRY Morgan Pools’ position at the pointy edge of high-end luxury pool projects has been confirmed as the company takes away several Gold and Highly Commended awards from the SPASA New Zealand Awards of Excellence 2023. Morgan Pools won Gold for Commercial Project of the Year, Commercial Pool up to $500,000, Concrete In-Ground Spa, Concrete Lap Pool, Concrete Pool up to $180,000, and Courtyard/Small Pool up to $80,000. Company founder Carlos & Sandra Morgan brought home the Acknowledgement of Industry Service Award for his 50 years in the pool building industry. Morgan Pools co-director Peter Mihaere says other pool builders like having Morgan Pools in the mix when it comes to awards, because they know they build some of New Zealand’s highest quality pools. One example of this quality from this year’s winnings is the Concrete Pool up to $180,000, a cantilevered infinity pool and spa at a new home build on Beach Road. “This type of pool stands out in the competition,” Peter says. “It is one of the projects that typifies what we do on a daily basis.” Against a breathtaking backdrop of Castor Bay to Rangitoto Island, this pool setting is simply stunning. Peter and his brother Justin have owned Morgan Pools since taking over from Carlos Morgan in 2018. Justin had joined the company 10 years earlier and took an instrumental role in growing the business.
