W ith roots that stem back sixteen years and a vision of creating stainless steel products for the food industry, NZ Manufacturing Ltd has evolved as a resilient enterprise embracing a diversity of business brands and high quality Kiwi built products. Based in central Tauranga and employing a team of 25 skilled fabricators, assemblers and woodworkers, NZ Manufacturing’s brands include Streetscape, CrystechNZ and Alpine Tubs. Managing Director Mat Still says the name NZ Manufacturing was adopted in 2018 to better align the company’s identity with its staff and suppliers. “For the time that I’ve been involved in the business my core value has been the desire to manufacture our own products, own our IP and sell products under our own name and umbrella. By taking the umbrella name NZ Manufacturing it allowed us to grow by adding new brands. “To our customers we’re known as Street- scape, CrystechNZ or Alpine Tubs but to our staff and suppliers we’re NZ Manufacturing, which is what we build everything under, whether it’s stainless steel, mild steel, timber or plastic. We also have a sales team that look after our individual brands.” Working primarily with architects and focused on the civil/commercial sector Streetscape products are a range of high-end outdoor street furniture and includes large decorative light poles, seating, rubbish bins, bollards and bike racks. Streetscape products adorn shopping malls, town centres, private developments and high- end subdivisions. CrystechNZ was added to the business port- folio in 2013 and is now the main supplier of honey extraction and processing equipment, the two sides of the honey industry. “Extraction is removing honey from the frames and getting it into a drum for process- ing, and we have a range of solutions for that,” explains Mat. “Processing is getting the honey from the drum to the jar. A customer will come to us and say they want two hundred boxes of hon- ey a day and we will specify a plant that will do that, then manufacture and install the entire system. The same with processing; someone might want to pack 500 tonnes of honey a year and we specify, design, manufacture and install the solution. With a range if its own IP and products de- veloped over the last eight years CrystechNZ is the only company that does both extraction and processing in New Zealand. The business is also aligned with other local manufacturers for specialist services such as packaging. Alpine Tubs was bought from a South Island company in 2018 and has now doubled in 029 293 2945 info@electricalworks.co.nz www.electricalworks.co.nz Electrical Solutions for Industry ∙ Proudly supporting NZManufacturing Proudly supporting NZ Manufacturing Auckland: (09) 270 8342 Hamilton: (07) 849 4150 Christchurch: (03) 341 5402 INEX Metals Ltd provide a range of aluminium products and services to the manufacturing and fabrication industries throughout the NZ and Pacific markets www.inexmetals.co.nz
