96 | BUILDING Jennian Homes - Rodney Designers on-site give personal touch Karen Phelps The showroom provides a glimpse of what your new bathroom could become, with a touch of inspiration. J ennian Homes Rodney’s dedicated design studio called ‘Studio J’ enables the fran- chise to offer clients all the benefits of an architecturally designed home with the cost efficiencies of a group builder, says franchise director Richard Turner. There are three architectural designers on staff along with an interior designer available for personal bookings to assist with customis- ing the client’s dream home. When people visit the studio they can see all the product options on display providing an environment where making choices is easy and enjoyable, he says. Studio J encompasses options for everything from bench tops, tapware, bricks and vanities to flooring, window options, door handles and heating. Clients can mix and match to suit their budget and needs, placing emphasis on the things that are most important to them. “It means we can cater to people who walk in with consented plans to those who have no idea what they want. People can really find everything they need for their new home under one roof. “With hundreds of products on display they are able to touch and feel everything, rather than just view in a brochure, so it’s a very tactile experience. And our buying power as one of New Zealand’s biggest builders means we can pass on unbeatable value to them,” he explains. Studio J is just one of the things that sepa- rates Jennian Homes Rodney and has enabled the franchise to grow a strong presence in the approximately three years it has been operat- ing in the region. Richard, who co-owns the franchise with Alan Perkinson, says that the market from Orewa to Mangawhai, where Jennian Homes Rodney operates, is firmly design and build. The region covers residential, lifestyle, coastal and rural properties and people want a unique individual home, he says. As the pandemic has meant supply chain constraint coupled with unprecedented de- mand for new homes, Jennian Homes’ buying power and strong relationships with supply partners has really come to the fore, he says, meaning that potential delays to the build schedule are minimised. “It’s definitely challenging times and our ro- bust processes have really helped along with our experience in forecasting what we need before we need it,” he says. While the region has plenty of land poten- tially available to build on getting it zoned is often a waiting game. With a lack of real estate listings, some are also choosing to take advantage of a large section to subdivide or remove an existing home and rebuild a new one. 0800 426100 www.regencywardrobes.co.nz proud suppliers for HireWorks is your local partner for access and earth-moving equipment, tools and site port-a-loos.
