Proudly supporting Impact Interiors. A key project completed in 2021 was the TradeMe head office fitout, which Jason describes as a “cool fitout with a quirky design”. The playful fitout by Jasmax includes pops of colour such as orange carpet and blue rubber flooring in the entry area and neon ceiling lighting in a black lobby. The kitchen has bespoke Impact Interiors & Construction worked closely with the acoustic contractor to design the distinctive Autex ceiling tiles with orange mesh inlays. Impact Interiors & Construction works primarily in Auckland but also the upper part of the North Island and has completed jobs in Taupo, Tauranga, Hamilton and Whangarei. At present it is working on a number of projects including the Greenwood Roche office with Wingate Architects in Auckland Central, a medical centre for Kiwi Property and a new end of trip facility for Property Managers Group. “We’ve reached a size we’re really happy with and have an amazing team. We have no grand plans to be the biggest in the industry,” says Jason. “We just want to be the best boutique fitout company in the market, focusing on quality and relationships. We aim to be the company people want to go to for their interior fitout.” TAL Tiling had its beginnings around 30 years ago. The longevity of the company is an indication of its solid industry reputation. Started by Mike Wood, today TAL Tiling is run by his son Stephen who is carrying on the family business. Based in East Tamaki TAL Tiling specialises in commercial tiling supply and installation working mainly for interior itout and construction companies such as Impact Interiors. Stephen says TAL Tiling aims to o er clients a complete solution with services including loor preparation and waterproo ing. It works with a range of tiling products including porcelain, ceramic, stone and carpet tiles. Some more specialised work is undertaken for clients on request. TAL Tiling works on a variety of projects including o ices, retail outlets and retirement villages. Stephen says that every project is collaboration with the client to meet their requirements, speci ications, budgets and deadlines. Stephen says that TAL Tiling’s process involves meeting with the client to discuss their project. Project plans are then measured and estimates given resulting in a quote for supply and/or Tiling for all requirements installation. Stephen says the aim is to take care of the client’s entire tiling project from start to inish, providing a seamless hassle-free service. He says the experience of TAL Tiling is an important factor in the company’ success. “TAL believe we are reliable and our industry experience,” he says. “We turn up when we say we will and our experience means we know how to problem solve and innovate when required.” Examples of past projects include KiwiRail’s head o ice in Penrose for Impact Interiors, which say the TAL Tiling team install around 800sqm of porcelain loor tiling. TAL Tiling has also tiled multiple H&M stores nationwide. Stephen says that although the majority of work the company completes is in Auckland its ability to travel further a ield is a real plus for clients who can keep the same contractor for their jobs who knows their speci ications and demands. It’s no surprise then that TAL Tiling’s reputation precedes it and it doesn't need to advertise for work but has a constant stream of demand from satis ied clients. “We’re known as reputable and reliable.
