Three apprentices are currently training through BCITO and Joe says he likes the way the organisation is continually evolving. “Since I have qualified they have undergone about five change-ups.” JRA Construction has also provided work-experience for students from Waitakere College and Auckland Secondary School’s Centre (ASSC). Renovations and extensions are what the company mainly specialise in and new builds are confined to architecturally designed homes for the most part. Part of the existing building has been repurposed to include a community shop along with an upgraded cafe space that now links better to the outdoors. Your Business, Your Industry, Your News. The project involved firewalls, concrete driveway and bathrooms. It is currently working on a 500sqm addition to an existing commercial building in Marsden city, delivering a similar turnkey process. Darin says that a real advantage is that Totalspan buildings are designed and detailed locally then manufactured at the Totalspan factory as kitsets. This gives supply chain security – particularly important at the moment. It means Totalspan can react quickly to customers’ requirements as well as giving greater control over quality, price and time frames. Darin says that Totalspan’s local designers are familiar with the requirements of the New Zealand building code and the environments the buildings have to withstand. In addition Totalspan Northland owns its own plant, including scaffolding, scissor lifts and trucks, giving further control over project timing. “We’re open to working through scenarios with people then helping them to achieve their vision.” to page 94 021 296 7797 isaac@colourmatch.co.nz www.colourmatch.co.nz Colour Match NZ has over 20 years of experience in spraying, painting & decorating, working in the Commercial, Residential & Rural areas.
