98 | Custom-made storage for any situation Wardrobe Warehouse has evolved from a primarily retail-focused operation into a business that now also takes on large-scale commercial contracts. JOINERY Wardrobe Warehouse T T Kelly Deeks Auckland-based storage solution specialists Wardrobe Warehouse is carving out an ever-larger niche in the city’s construction and renovation scene, supplying high-quality, bespoke wardrobe and cabinetry systems to a broad customer base ranging from Kāinga Ora developments to luxury homes and large-scale commercial projects. The company has been operating since the 1990s, and since 2022 it has been under the ownership of brothers Simon and Richard Healy. With Richard’s background in residential building and Simon’s experience in banking, including a stint managing small and medium business clients, the duo saw a strong opportunity to grow a solid and respected local business. “We were looking to get into business for ourselves, and this one just made sense,” says Simon. “Richard was building houses at the time, and wardrobes felt like a logical extension of his skill set. For me, I already had a solid understanding of what it takes to run a business well, and we both felt confident we could take it further.” Under their leadership, Wardrobe Warehouse has evolved from a primarily retail-focused operation into a business that now also takes on large-scale commercial contracts. Recent work includes fit-outs for Metlifecare facilities and several apartment developments, projects that represent a new and growing direction for the company. “We’ve been pushing our brand more, and developing stronger relationships with builders and designers.” Simon says. “Whether it’s a Kāinga Ora project, a standalone home, or a multi-unit development, we’ve got the capacity and product range to deliver.” Wardrobe Warehouse designs, manufactures, and installs all cabinetry in-house, providing free quotes and custom measuring for every job. All products are made to order, and the company offers a full spectrum of storage solutions, including built-in wardrobes, reachins, linen cupboards, and freestanding units. “We’re not an off-the-shelf company,” Simon says. “Everything we do is custom-made to suit the client’s space and needs.” One key point of difference for Wardrobe Warehouse is its proprietary sliding-door system. Developed by the previous owner and now a registered design, the sliding doors include a unique soft-close mechanism that increases durability and performance, especially in high-use family homes. “Walk-in wardrobes are usually reserved for the master bedroom, while the kids tend to get the sliding doors, and kids can be pretty tough on hardware,” Simon says. “So, our doors are built to be strong, safe, and long-lasting.” All products come with a 10-year warranty, and the company maintains a commitment to after-sales support. “If something goes wrong, we’re out there to replace it, no questions asked,” says Simon. “As interest rates have started to ease, we’ve seen retail customers becoming more confident again. That’s driving demand across the board.” “The quality of the build is fantastic and a testament to Sentinel’s attention to detail” - MATTHEW MCWHA “Excellent to deal with and thoroughly professional.” - CRAIG JEFFERIES “Really happy with their quality of work, they are very detail oriented” - BEA HIDALGO Over 60 5-Star Reviews on Google 49 House of the Year Awards Hundreds of Happy Clients See the quality for youself at the Orewa Showhome Visit: sentinelhomes.co.nz/orewa or call 0800 456 321 AWARDED GOLD SINCE 2011 “ ”
