As Steve observes, it is important to have an experienced tyre team on the job to ensure that the right tyre is always on the right vehicle. “There are di erent products for di erent applications depending on what part of the business the truck is working in and what it does. For example, di erent tyres are used for mounted hiab crane trucks compared to long haul transport trucks. You don’t want to be using the wrong tyre as the cost per kilometre skyrockets as it will wear out too fast.” Tyre wear and tear will vary according to how a truck is used and how hard it’s working. Steve says tyres reaching the end of their working life do need to be checked more often. Their team is skilled in checking tyres and providing guidance on replacement.
