T T Russell Fredric “The name Coreflow reflects what sits at the heart of our business; keeping essential water, waste and gas infrastructure flowing.” Coreflow’s rebrand reflects the broader range of plumbing, civil and underground infrastructure services the Northland business now provides, including specialist pipe relining technology. Formerly Bay of Islands Plumbing & Gas, the Waipapa-based business, owned by Zane and Rachel Britton, recently rebranded as Coreflow to better represent the breadth of services it now delivers throughout Northland. The rebrand also aligns with the purchase of the NuFlow Northland franchise, bringing trenchless pipe relining technology to the region. “As Bay of Islands Plumbing & Gas grew, the name no longer represented everything we did or the wider area we served,” Rachel says. “We had expanded beyond traditional plumbing and gasfitting into drainage, pipelaying and civil work, with projects throughout Northland. The name Coreflow reflects what sits at the heart of our business; keeping essential water, waste and gas infrastructure flowing.” Today, Coreflow delivers residential, commercial and civil projects spanning plumbing, gasfitting, drainage, pipelaying and infrastructure. The broader capability allows the company to support projects from underground services through to final plumbing and gas installations. “What began primarily as a plumbing and gasfitting business can now manage residential, commercial and civil projects across plumbing, gasfitting, drainage, pipelaying and infrastructure. “We can support a project from the initial groundwork and underground services through to the final plumbing and gas installations. Our focus remains the same; getting the job right, on time and with clear communication throughout.” The acquisition of the NuFlow Northland franchise adds specialised trenchless pipe relining and manhole rehabilitation technology, giving Northland property owners, businesses and councils access to the service locally. Pipe relining creates a new pipe inside an existing damaged one. After the original pipe is inspected and cleaned, a flexible resin liner is installed and cured in place, forming a seamless new pipe. The technology repairs cracked pipes, leaking joints, corrosion and root intrusion with little or no excavation beneath roads, driveways, gardens and buildings. “We could see a genuine need in Northland, where ageing and damaged infrastructure can be difficult and expensive to access using conventional excavation. “Taking on the NuFlow Northland franchise was a natural next step. It complements our existing drainage and civil experience while allowing us to offer customers a less disruptive way to repair damaged pipes.” The franchise brought specialised inspection cameras, pipe cleaning and relining equipment, a milling machine, proven installation systems and technical training. The equipment enables the team to accurately identify faults, prepare damaged pipes, complete the relining process and verify the finished repair. Coreflow and NuFlow Northland now operate as complementary parts of the same locally owned business. Together they allow the team to assess an entire pipe system and recommend whether conventional repair, replacement, civil work or pipe relining is the most appropriate solution for each site and its particular requirements.
