76 | Shed It can do ‘whatever the client wants’ SHEDIT operates with a trusted network of building contractors throughout the regions. Kelly Deeks RURAL SERVICES » Shed It Ltd Independent nationwide builder SHEDIT designs and builds cost-effective custom shed solutions including garages, farm buildings, pole sheds, and steel framed buildings, all completely tailored to suit individual requirements. “No two of our sheds are the same,” says SHEDIT sales director Garth Derbyshire. “Whatever the size, whatever the dimensions, we can do whatever the client wants.” When farmers need a shed outside of standard specifications, or want something more aesthetically pleasing to suit their environment, the specialist team at SHEDIT offers an unmatched service and brings their dreams to life. Started in 2014 by builders Alan Hockly and Giles Bailey, SHEDIT was created to build what individual customers want, rather than squeeze them in to plans designed for other people. Alan and Giles were soon joined by Garth and between all three, they boast about 100 years of combined construction industry experience, many of those gained while working for other shed companies. “We like the idea of being able to do anything,” Garth says. “Some companies are very much restricted with what they can supply, and many will build out of either timber or steel. Some of our sheds have a combination of timber and steel, some are all timber, and some are all steel. We’ll tailor the product to suit the client’s requirements, and we’re able to source materials from a number of different suppliers all over the country.” Its reputation for customer satisfaction has seen SHEDIT products built all around New Zealand where they withstand the test of time serving multiple purposes for lifestyle, rural, and commercial customers. “We’ve built calf-rearing sheds, wintering barns, multiple garaging, equipment storage, a man cave, and even a chapel,” Garth says. SHEDIT has a client-centric, one-on-one approach throughout the design and build process, from the initial enquiry through to completion and hand over. When a client comes to SHEDIT with an enquiry, they sit down with a talented specialist to go over what they want and need out of their shed solution. I In the planning stage, their dream starts to take shape, with a plan and a quote created with the clients’ needs in mind. The design concept and action plan is then proposed by the SHEDIT team, including 3D concepts of the building from SHEDIT’s own qualified draughtsman. “Our 3D building design software really helps to cater to the bespoke nature of our customers’ requests,” Garth says. Once the design and plan is accepted by the client, the build process can begin. This starts with full consultation with the client. “We can take care of as much or as little of the project as our clients want: all the documentation, all the consenting, and all the subtrades.” P 07 849 3807 F 07 849 6889 www.metalcraftroo ng.co.nz Proud to support Shed It Ltd SHEDIT operates with a trusted network of building contractors throughout the regions, and these contractors use local subtrades and materials suppliers.
