Matt says the corporate nature of the farming business works very well, given managements skill set. “Given our structure we do still feel like a family farming business.” The Pohangina River hugs the western side of the farm. Matt leads the Pohangina Catchment Care Group, dedicated to ensuring water-quality is preserved and improved to assist in sustaining the precious flora and fauna who inhabit the area. “We have always been concerned in preserving this wonderful environment and the group is a way for like-minded people to support each other.”
