Patrick’s wife Sophie oversees the office administration and compliance requirements for the various programmes as well as the annual planting commitments to support environmental and biodiversity aspirations as outlined in their Integrated Farm Plans. Patrick grew up on the family’s Crosby Farm before completing a Diploma in Farm Management at Lincoln University. He then spent several years shepherding, later returning to Crosby to work as a shepherd, before stepping into his current role. Alongside Joel and the Hinau shepherd, Patrick is also supported by Crosby stock manager Micheal Florence and senior shepherd Phil Matthews at Awapiri. He notes that the business has set aspirational goals for the future and is confident in the team’s expertise to drive the productivity and performance he envisions.
