With over a decade in cater- ing to farmers’ specific needs, company owner Doug Wilson reckons he knows what farm- ers want better than anyone. “Farmers want to deal with a reliable company with longevity. When they need feed, fert or metal they need a quick response. It’s important to us that our customers know when they order sup- plies or materials to be delivered on a certain day that we deliver,” he says. Doug formed Northern Rural Haulage in 2009 when he saw a need for a Northland-wide rural haulage service set up to supply farms and construction with the materials they need, when they need it. Due to great customer service and reliability the company has since expanded to include rural haulage runs as far south as the Waikato and Tauranga. Northern Rural Haulage is a real family owned and operated business. Doug’s son Kyle started in the company as a driver and more recently has moved into the office full time. Kyle focuses on the dispatching, while Doug is still doing the pric- ing and handling the customer side of things. Farmers like dealing with local companies, says Doug who was born and bred in Northland and has over 40 years’ experience in the bulk cartage Kelly Deeks Haulage also has its own onsite workshop where minor repairs and maintenance are carried out so that its day to day running can continue smoothly. “All vehicles are regularly inspected and maintained so customers can trust the trucks are roadworthy at all times. “This keeps the fleet in tip top condition and ensures that there are no unexpected delays for customers,” says Doug. With a comprehensive modern fleet Northern Rural Haulage invariably has the right vehicle to do the job. It offers a range of bulk cartage trucks to suit any job, big or small and can tackle even the tough jobs. Trucks are equipped to deliver anything from rocks, sand and metal, to bulk farm supplies like fertiliser and cow feed. The company fleet has the latest technology and updating is an on-going focus. Northern Rural Haulage has purchased three new trucks in the past four years. “Over the years we’ve built strong contacts here in Northland, so if we don’t have the vehicle to handle your job, chances are we know some- one who does,” says Doug. Northern Rural Haulage has a strong team of 13 people, all hard-working and dedicated to their jobs. Doug says having a great, dedicated team is important as much of the company’s jobs are time sensitive and it takes pride in being able to respond to last-minute jobs if customers require. 0800 424 743 AGRIFEEDS.CO.NZ Showcasing excellence and innovation within the engineering sector 3 Dyer Street, Whangarei P 09 438 1822 E larry@morganengineering .co.nz www. morganengineering .co.nz Structural Engineering • Trailer Manufacture • Manufacture of Aluminium Bins for Trucks and Trailers • Repairs & Maintenance • Profile Cutting Delivery times represent a commitment from us and we guarantee your satisfaction industry.
