Last year beef picked up six gold awards and the Paddock Champion Award at the New Zealand Outstanding Food Producer Awards and this year, the accolades continued with four golds for beef and two for lamb, something Jamie says they’re tremendously proud of. “We know we’re producing a very special meat but to have that confirmed consistently by industry experts is very gratifying indeed. We have world renown chefs using our beef in their restaurants, calling it the best beef in New Zealand, like Ben Bailey at Ahi in Auckland, Wharekauhau Lodge in the Wairarapa and Central Fire Station in Napier. The winning cut was the 30-45 day dry aged Sirloin Cutlet.
