Our buildings are insulated perfectly for the sometimes unforgiving environment offering comfortable accommodation.” Importantly, in-house design and drafting expertise can work seamlessly with a project's lead designer, ensuring that the master-planned vision is enhanced by a new modular structure. The time savings that Portacom can deliver are considerable. With most construction of its buildings taking place within its controlled off-site production environment, delays due to adverse weather, subcontractor unavailability or material supply issues are minimised, enabling the delivery of a construction project to be signi cantly streamlined. Portacom has New Zealand’s largest eet of modular buildings, and uses a construction technique which is distinguished by its consistency in quality and nish as well as speed of installation. It is this eet which has supported much of the regional development of the country. Its accommodation buildings are designed and manufactured the same way in the company’s two factories in Auckland and Christchurch to be delivered to location for a quick turnaround. Different options are available in the interior nish to include kitchenettes and sleeping quarters which can easily be complexed together to make a village feel. “We offer these buildings for sale as we nd it is more cost effective for the farm in the long run and it's great to think that farm workers can make these Kiwi icons their own home away from home.” Ongoing demand for Portacom's buildings is extremely strong.
