ENGINEERING Kelford Engineering Ensuring boiler systems work reliably under pressure has been at the heart of Kelford Engineering for the past 30 years. The company was established in 1991 by Mike Kelly and Steve Bamford who worked for the South Island’s largest boiler manufacturer, Andersons Boilers, until they were made redundant the same year. Together they bring 90 years of industry experience to Kelford Engineering. Ten years ago, Nic Gebbie, who comes from a heavy machinery and plant background in the textile industry, took on the role of general manager. Kelford Engineering has supplied, installed, reconditioned, serviced and surveyed boilers throughout New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. More recently, the company has become part of the move towards greener forms of energy, manufacturing its own highly efficient electric boilers as well as supplying and installing Norwegian manufactured Parat electrode boilers.
