Some large, high-end exclusive residential developments like to have their own private network, and word of mouth, a powerful thing for business, has brought the company many new contracts. TreeSpace at Mt Dewar near Coronet Peak is one recent example of a group of eco-conscious residents that own their own high-voltage connection, with their own transformers that distribute power within the development. “People like to have their own private network, and they do a lot to have some control of their own infrastructure,” Mark explains. Treespace features 53 sites of small-footprint chalets and cabins, and is surrounded by a eforestation project, including 65000 native beech trees planted on-site. Mark enjoys being able to help new clients to understand the complexities involved with electrical distribution and design, and to explain the process simply. Mark’s background in electrical distribution across many industries, including mining, fast-food manufacturing, dairying, and farm irrigation/automation, has taken him to Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Finland and Australia. Power Solutions‘ goal is to ensure the complexities of power distribution are made simple, and so far they have more than achieved that.
